Our Units and Equipment: We currently issue three different law enforcement packaged police units. The first is the Ford Expedition Special Service Vehicle (SVV). It’s a spacious and robust SUV that features twin-turbocharged 3.5 liter V6 engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The second unit is our Ford F-150 Police Responder, which stands out as the only pursuit-rated pickup truck in the U.S., combining high-speed capabilities with the versatility of a full-size truck. Both the Ford Expedition SSV and the F-150 Police Responder are integral to modern law enforcement fleets, offering specialized features that address the dynamic requirements of police work. Their designs reflect a commitment to officer safety, operational efficiency, and adaptability across various policing scenarios.
The final unit is the Chevrolet Tahoe Police Pursuit Vehicle (PPV) is a purpose-built law enforcement SUV designed for high-speed patrol, durability, and upfitting flexibility. Its interior is tailored for duty use, with seats accommodating utility belts, vinyl flooring, and ample cargo space. The Tahoe PPV is a rugged and versatile choice for agencies needing a pursuit-capable full-size SUV that can handle the demands of modern policing.
Our units are equipped with Dell 7330 Mobile Data Terminals (MDTs) and thermal paper printers that enhance efficiency, officer safety, and real-time field communication. The MDT is built to withstand harsh environments and allows officers to access real-time data, dispatch information, and critical applications directly from their vehicle, reducing response times and improving situational awareness. Paired with a thermal printer, officers can generate citations, accident reports, and other documentations on-site without the need to return to the station. This integrated technology supports a more mobile, connected, and effective police force.
Our officers are also equipped with the latest Axon Body Camera system that offers several advantages for law enforcement officers, enhancing operational effectiveness, accountability, and safety. Some of these advantages include: Real -Time Awareness with Live Steaming & Alerts, Smart Activation & Categorization of video footage, Automatic Transcription, Language Translation, and Drafting Reports. The body camera system transforms previous body-worn cameras from passive recording devices into active, intelligent tools for real-time decision making, evidence quality, officer safety, and public trust.
