Our Building: Opened in April of 2011, the Artesia Public Safety Complex is a state-of-the-art facility that houses local emergency services, including the Artesia Police Department, the Artesia Fire Department, the Artesia Municipal Court, the Artesia Detention Center, Eddy County Sheriff’s Office substation, the New Mexico State Police substation, the New Mexico Probation & Parole substation, the Eddy County Alternative Sentencing Unit, and Trans Aero MedEvac.
The complex was designed to enhance public safety and improve response times by consolidating these essential services under one roof. It features modern technology, advanced communications systems, and training facilities to support first responders. The Artesia Public Safety Complex reflects the city commitment to protecting its residents and maintain a high standard of emergency preparedness.
