What is the processing for selling or transferring burial property I own to someone else?
It is advisable to first contact the Cemetery Office since the Cemetery maintains a record of all sales, transfers, and assignments of ownership. A notarized Quitclaim Dead is required from the Deed Owner for transferring Cemetery Property. A blank Quitclaim Deed is available in the office. The Cemetery also asks for proof of ownership of the burial property be provided if you are not listed on the original deed. This most often occurs in the instance of the inheritance of burial property.
