The Finance Department serves our employees and citizens by performing a wide range of services including payroll, budgeting, procurement, payment to vendors, receipting and investing public funds, accounting, and financial reporting. The finance department must maintain, analyze, and record financial activity in the separate funds that are required to account for the activities of the city.
All employees work together to keep the city's reporting in compliance with General Accepted Accounting Principals. In addition to maintaining those records, we are responsible for internal controls that ensure responsible handling of city funds and compliance with our annual audit.
