The state of New Mexico will celebrate 100 years of statehood
Artesia by Museum Manager Nancy Dunn & former Museum Registrar Naomi Florez, will be published in December 2011! Featuring over 180 vintage images of Artesia, this book will be available locally at the B & B Newsstand and other outlets. Watch for book-signing parties and other events!
Our Museum conducted a series of oral history interviews with Artesia and area pioneers in the 1970s & 1980s that were recently transferred onto CDs. We will be preparing short summaries about the interviews and their contents throughout 2012 so that we can make these important stories available to researchers for the first time! Check back for updates—as this project progresses, we will be posting information and keeping everyone informed.
