The City of Artesia will be closed in observance of Memorial Day.

Monday, May 29, 2023, is Memorial Day, a day when Americans stand united to remember, mourn, and honor all of those in all branches of the United States Armed Forces who fought and died serving in our military. In observance of this reverent day, the City of Artesia offices will be closed on Monday, May 29, and will resume operations on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. 

Today and every day, we remember all those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the name of liberty and justice and in defense of democracy and our Constitution. Memorial Day is a special time when together as a united people, we take extra care to honor and remember our fallen heroes with flags flown at half-staff, reflection, prayer, and support of the families, friends, and service members who are left behind. We are forever indebted to these men and women, and we will never forget the incredible sacrifices they made. These heroes will forever live on in our hearts.
