Lane & Road Closures in Artesia beginning Tuesday, March 28, 2023

The outside Lane heading southbound will be closed from Tuesday, March 28 through the end of the day Friday, March 31. The City of Artesia Water Department will replace a broken gate valve, and water service will be interrupted Wednesday morning from 1am-6am. Please plan accordingly.

Freeman St.

 J&H Services Inc. will begin replacing a sewer line that will be along North Freeman Avenue between E Compress Road and Parkway Street, in Artesia, New Mexico, starting on April 3, 2023, and lasting for approximately 3 weeks. To aid in the construction and increase safety for the work, Freeman Street will be closed in its entirety with a detour around the worksite.

Traffic control devices will be installed in this area. The general public is asked to remain clear of the construction area and drivers who commute on this portion of the City are asked to please drive slow and follow any detour signs in the area. Your oooperation and observance of all construction signs will be greatly appreciated to help ensure the safety of the public and the construction crews.
