On February 19th the city began work on the 2nd and Richardson project. The work will be done in three phases that will last until early August. The city will be redoing the road and working on sidewalks and ADA ramps. This project will help both motorists and pedestrians in the area.
The first phase of the project will focus on Richardson from 1st to Roselawn. This phase will run from February 19th until April 4th.
The second phase will tackle 2nd street from Richardson to Dallas. This will take place from April 7th to June 6th.
The final phase of the project will handle 2nd street from Dallas to Bullock. This will run from June 9th until August 9th.
The affected portions of road will be closed to traffic both ways during their respective phases. The timeline for the phases is dependent on weather conditions and other factors.
Road work is not fun to deal with, but we thank you for your understanding. Please drive safely when you're near work zones.
