Today, Mayor Pro Tem Jeff Youtsey issued a proclamation designating October 2023 as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The proclamation was presented in Council Chambers to Celina Bryant, Executive Director of Grammy’s House, and members of the board and staff. Artesia is proud to be home to incredible resources for those who need them.
Mayor Pro Tem Youtsey encouraged all citizens of Artesia to be aware and supportive of this most important program in our community that plays a vital role in eradicating domestic violence.
Grammy's House is a domestic violence shelter located in Artesia, New Mexico which seeks to provide a place of safety, education, refuge, and empowerment for victims and child-witness victims of domestic violence. Domestic violence affects communities, families, and individuals across the world in small towns and big cities alike.
