Welcome to the Artesia Fire Department website. As Chief, I hope the information contained here provides an understanding of our department and what we do.
Our mission is to serve our community by rapidly responding to all fires, medical emergencies, and hazardous materials incidents with highly trained and appropriately equipped professionals. We strive to minimize the need for future responses by educating our community about fire safety, as well as lifesaving practices and regulations.
To achieve this, the Fire Department is comprised of four divisions, each having a distinct role in support of our mission. These divisions are: Administration, Operations/EMS, Fire Prevention & Education, and Training & Safety. Each of these play a significant role in providing our professionals with the knowledge and skills to successfully mitigate emergency events.
Any organization is only as good as its employees, and I want to give credit to the professional and dedicated men and women of the Artesia Fire Department. They are the ones that make this department exceptional and the individuals that strive for excellence in everything they do.
Thanks to the Mayor and the Artesia City Council, the men and women of the Artesia Fire Department can be progressive and continue to improve on the outstanding service they provide our community.
